Through all our learning, indoors and outdoors, we aim to promote confident, creative and independent individuals.

Welcome to Reception!

Our Reception classes love to learn through our fun, engaging and exciting curriculum which is inspired by the children and their interests.

Ash, Oak and Willow Classes

A missing zoo-animal has left our Reception and Year 1 children a letter in our classrooms over the weekend. It describes himself and his appearance as clues for the children to use to help them search the school grounds. I wonder who will sort the clues to find and help the missing creature?

This letter will show us how to write about ourselves and other animals, using labelling or writing including exciting adjectives. We will use it to write in our own non-fiction style for our first autumn topic, ‘Marvellous Me’. We will be comparing sizes of animals, creating patterns and counting to larger numbers, including some addition and subtraction. The children will also be learning about the surrounding area that we live in, about their bodies and how to keep them healthy and also about their personal interests, including respecting our similarities and differences.

A fun-filled start to our new year!

In our team we have Mrs Cartwright (Ash Class), Miss Hall (Willow Class) and Mrs Pritchard with Miss Wilkinson (Oak Class) .

We are supported by Mrs Stallwood, Miss Davis, Mrs Bowkett, Mrs Bozward, Mrs Denning, Mrs Fox, Miss Reid, Mrs Cole and Mrs Gwinn. Please say hello to us on the playground after school or leave us a message in the Morning Book.

Check back again for more topic news later in the term!
